2017 Vans Warped Tour, Presented by Journeys, Celebrates Successful Summer

A Special Thank You From Vans Warped Tour Presented By Journeys!

Celebrating an impressive 23rd year of delivering musical experiences like no other festival around, the Vans Warped Tour®, presented by Journeys®, is continuing to solidify itself as the must-attend summer music festival for rock and music lovers alike. In the tradition of commemorating the tour’s roots, the lineup from this summer included bands such as The Ataris, Sick Of It All, GWAR, American Authors, CKY, Municipal Waste, Neck Deep, Strung Out, Andy Black, Creeper, Anti-Flag, Save Ferris, Hatebreed and more.

The success of the summer is to be shared with the fans that came out to the festival during one of the toughest summers weather wise the tour has ever seen. As Huffington Post shared, “The loyalty of these fans is one of many cornerstones of the Warped Tour making it such an ever-evolving event each year…In a place where there is variety like this tour, the fans that show the most exuberance almost become the driving force of it all.”

On this year’s Tour, founder Kevin Lyman shares, “In 2017, we seemed to really connect with the core Warped Tour audience. We went back to the basics a bit more and saw that the legacy of the tour was solid.”

Giving back to the community has always been a foothold of the Warped Tour experience and this year was no different. Throughout the summer, there were nearly 20 National Organizations on the tour like Music Saves Lives, Peta2, To Write Love on Her Arms, A Voice For The Innocent, Hope For The Day, The Truth and Headcount along with about 90 Local Organizations that attended their local shows to spread awareness. 244,000 pounds of food was donated to various local charities and organizations via Feed Our Children Now and over 100 Eco Warrior volunteers came out to collect about 100,000 pounds of recyclable materials.

“It is important for our youth to get out and experience life, have a fun sweaty day, and maybe learn a thing or two from our many non-profit organizations,” shares Lyman.

This summer also gave fans amazing interactive experiences, thanks to the Sponsors and Partners behind the tour. Whether you were buying an iconic pair of Vans, educating yourself on an entertainment industry degree from Full Sail University or taking in some new information from truth®, fans were able to take part in creative brand activations.

Bands hosted special signings throughout the summer at the Journeys and Alternative Press tents and attendees were able to enjoy ice cold Mutant Super Sodas and delicious chocolate treats courtesy of Maltesers®. The Seattle crowd had a very special guest when a SnapChat Spectacles SnapBot dropped in to see some live music! Blaze Pizza even hosted special acoustic shows with Jule Vera on select dates. This tour truly has something for everyone. The entire Warped Tour team shares “Thank you to all of our sponsors & partners, this tour could not be what it is without your continued support.”

Looking ahead to next year, Lyman shares, “We will continue to build on what we set out to do in 2017; bringing a show that has a solid foundation in our scene, a balanced lineup, and a compelling experience.”

More updates on the Vans Warped Tour will be announced soon.

Warped Tour 2017 Headliners NECK DEEP Set to Release Third Studio Album, ‘The Peace And The Panic,’ on August 18th

Neck Deep’s highly anticipated third studio album, The Peace And The Panic, is due out August 18th via Hopeless Records. The 11-track album, produced by Mike Green (Pierce The Veil, Paramore), is a meditation on the constant duality of life and the struggles that come with it. It comes blessed with an acknowledgement that seizing the day and having a laugh with your mates is important, but so is the personal growth that comes with pain and existential crisis. This album will show a duality of sounds, which carries through to the various PEACE and PANIC pre-order bundles, now available at https://neckdeep.lnk.to/TPATP.

The band has released the first two singles and music videos from the album. Fans can watch the videos for “Where Do We Go When We Go” and “Happy Judgement Day” at http://smarturl.it/WDWGVideo and http://smarturl.it/HJDVideo, respectively.

On the album, lead singer Ben Barlow says, “It’s not all ‘Let’s have a party and grab a beer’ this time, but I wouldn’t say it’s pessimistic, just realistic. Trying to make something of your life is a big theme on this record, as is dealing with depression and anxiety. We’ve all found ourselves in the last few years and grown up a bit. I’ve had to do a lot of soul-searching and maybe I’ve been hardened by life a little bit, but I feel ready to take on the world again, just in a different way.” For more information on Neck Deep and their upcoming album, please visit http://neckdeepuk.com/.

The Peace And The Panic – Track Listing:

The band is also set to headline this year’s Vans Warped Tour all summer. Tickets for the tour are on sale now at: http://vanswarpedtour.com/dates.

For Wrexham pop-punks Neck Deep, the trajectory of the last half decade has been, seemingly, one of unbridled success. Comprehensively the most successful British band in the history of their genre, and with an average age of just 23, they have risen – at a pace so head-spinning it nearly snapped necks – to become the zeitgeist capturing band of their generation and scene. They’ve scored Kerrang! and Alternative Press awards along the way, completed two summer-long stints at Warped Tour to unprecedented crowds, worked alongside legends like Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and completed a 2016 headline world tour of their own which took in some 15 countries across 4 months and sold in excess of 52,000 tickets.

The truth, as anyone who has even a little experience will tell you, is that when life takes away it also gives – in self-confidence, in conviction and in a galvanized dedication to expressing what lies inside you in the very best way you can. Neck Deep are here to prove that, and a whole lot more besides.

Neck Deep is Ben Barlow (Vocals), Matt West (Guitar), Sam Bowden (Guitar), Fil Thorpe-Evans (Bass and Vocals) and Dani Washington (Drums).

CKY on Warped Tour All Summer Supporting “The Phoenix,” First LP Since 2009

CKY (Chad I Ginsburg, Jess Margera and Matt Deis) have tour dates booked all summer highlighted by a return to the 2017 Vans Warped Tour. This is the band’s first time returning to the Warped Tour since 2000.

Chad I Ginsburg, the band’s guitarist and singer, steps into the frontman role with charisma, charm, and bravado, confidently delivering a diverse performance as he claims a position that was clearly rightfully his to own.

He’s joined in enduring partnership and musical and personal chemistry by fellow CKY cofounder, Jess Margera, the drummer whose extracurricular work in projects like The Company Band (with guys from Clutch and Fireball Ministry) expanded CKY’s horizons as much as Ginsburg’s solo work has as well. The duo returned to their primary project refreshed and reenergized, with bassist Matt Deis (ex-All That Remains), who first joined CKY in 2005.

Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Deftones have all personally invited CKY on tour, cementing a legacy as a hard-charging live act. CKY built a worldwide fanbase of dedicated acolytes, friends, and supporters, lovingly dubbed the CKY Alliance, with a broader group of musicians, athletes, and other creative types in the CKY family, both literally and figuratively.

“We’re grown adults now with an eagle-eye perspective on who we are, what we do, and how to do it right,” Ginsburg declares, with matter-of-fact certainty. “None of us are out there in the clouds. We’re pretty well-grounded people that have an honest perspective on where we’re at.”

CKY released The Phoenix on June 16, 2017 via eOne Music. The all new LP is the first release since the band put out Carver City in 2009. The album was engineered and mixed at Rancho De La Luna, the highly regarded recording studio in Joshua Tree, CA.

The cover art for The Phoenix was completed by chandelier maker and artist Adam Wallacavage. The band commissioned Wallacavage to create a one of a kind piece for the cover.

Hands Like Houses Celebrate Hopeless Records Deal with New Single, Music Video

Hands Like Houses are officially the newest members of the Hopeless Records family. To celebrate this signing, the band has dropped a brand new single and music video for “Drift,”which fans can watch at http://smarturl.it/DriftVideo. Additionally, the band has signed to UNFD in Australia and New Zealand.

Frontman Trenton Woodley says “Drift” is about finding the connection: “Drift is about a momentary lapse in momentum, where everything is still long enough to question where you’re going, where you’ve been and how they are somehow supposed to connect in the middle.”

The electrifying chemistry between lead singer Trenton Woodley, lead guitarist Matt “Coops” Cooper, guitarist/backing vocalist Alexander Pearson, bassist/backing vocalist Joel Tyrrell, and drummer Matt Parkitny, paired with a brilliant, unique artistic identity make Hands Like Houses one of the most exciting bands in the hard rock genre right now, touring with the likes of Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, A Day To Remember and Bring Me The Horizon as well as their upcoming third trip on Vans Warped Tour.

Born and bred in Canberra, Hands Like Houses are one of the most famous rock exports to come emerge from the nation’s capital. With over 100k record sales, 14 full US and eight UK tours on the books, Hands Like Houses have just experienced the most successful 18 months of their career.

Their critically acclaimed third album Dissonants impressively debuted at #7 on the ARIA Chart and Top 10 Billboard Independent Albums, Hard Music Albums, Alternative Albums and Rock Albums. The band have also spent their time thrilling epic crowds at home on UNIFY 2016, The Equinox Tour and the listeners of triple j with their incredible cover of No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” on Like A Version.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Hands Like Houses played sold out shows on their biggest UK and US headline runs ever, as well as played to tens of thousands of people on the Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion and Northern Invasion alongside legendary acts The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Alice Cooper and Disturbed.

On joining the Hopeless Records family, Woodley states “In terms of our career, we’re incredibly excited to be working with our friends at Hopeless Records, as they become that key link between our present and our future as a band.”

Fans will have a chance to hear Hands Like Houses perform “Drift” all summer at this year’s Vans Warped Tour. Tickets for the tour are on sale now at: http://vanswarpedtour.com/dates. Returning home in October, the Drift Australian Tour will be Hands Like Houses biggest headline run to date.
